Indifference

As one of the first members of Emergence Delft, I helped shape how the team was organised, inside and out. That led to the team hiring me as project manager. For six months I hired and led a cross-functional team of seven to build Indifference, a large-scale art installation shown at Dutch Design Week 2024, and owned it from start to finish: planning, a €7,000 budget, and the stakeholders around it.

The part I’m proudest of is the team itself. I set out to build a high-performing team and developed my own curiosity-driven way of working: enough structure to cut through the chaos of a new team, without losing the room for curiosity, creativity and experiment that an art installation needs.
