Alani is a shared dining restaurant and cocktail bar on one of Delft’s old canals: small dishes inspired by Eastern flavours, made to share, in a warm tiki interior. Together with Nora Overhuijs I created its identity and visuals, from the logo to the menus and the shop window.

The identity sits between the playful tiki bar and the elegant cocktail bar Alani wants to be. A hand-drawn orange branch carries the logo, and the illustrations mix rough and elegant lines in one brush. Orange and two greens bring the energy, ivory and a deep near-black keep it calm.

Everything is captured in a brand book, so the team can apply the identity themselves: logo use, typography for print and digital, colours, and a drawing style anyone can follow.
